In relation to the issuance of a Government regulation regarding the increase in VAT (Value Added Tax) rates, one of the topics discussed in the Information Sharing and Regulatory Discussion activity of ASBINDO which was held on April 11, 2022, was about the increase in the VAT rate.

The Ministry of Finance issued a regulation to increase the VAT rate from 10 percent to 11 percent starting April 1, 2022, this increase is the mandate of Article 7 of Law Number 7 of 2021 concerning Harmonization of Tax Regulations (UU HPP).
