Description
This is a perennial plant of the genus Rosa, within the family Rosaceae. There are more than 100 species. They consist of erect shrubs, and climbing or trailing plants, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers are large and showy, in a number of colours from white through yellows and reds. Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwest Africa. Species, cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beauty and fragrance.
Care tips
Check maturity, the bud must be fully developed and ‘loose’. Remove the lower leaves. Use clean vases and fresh water containing cut flower food. Avoid smoke, fruit and exhaust gases.

Description
Orchids are the largest family of the plant kingdom with over 25,000 naturally occurring species in the world, as well as all the specially-developed hybrids! Most houseplant orchids are either Phalaenopsis sp , Dendrobium sp, vanda, Paphiopedilum sp or Cymbidium sp. It is currently believed to be the second largest family of flowering plants, with between 21,950 and 26,049 currently accepted species, found in 880 genera. Horticulturists are believed to have produced more than 100,000 hybrids and cultivars.
Care tips
Orchid flowers last over a month on the plant and about 10 days when cut. Place them in a well lit spot out of direct sunlight. Water sparingly once a week or immerse the rootball in (softened) water. Feed with orchid plant food once a month. They like regular misting to the leaves.
