Soil Sanitazion

We who have been gardening from year to year must have known what is called soil sanitation. As has been taught or read from magazines, journals, including discussions among farmers, that there are several ways to sanitize soil.

First, the most common and effective and safe for the environment is with steam. Hot air steam is injected (inserted) into the soil that has been covered with plastic so that the steam does not come out. This method is effective but the tool is very expensive.

There is another, relatively cheaper way to sanitize the soil, namely by using 50% hydrogen peroxide. After the soil is mixed with basic fertilizer and compost, and the beds have been formed, a solution of hydrogen peroxide at a dose of 7 cc per liter is poured into the land. Considering hydrogen peroxide is a hard material, care needs to be taken in watering it. In mixing this material, gloves must be used and watering using gembor, as much as 750 – 1,000 cc per m2. If there is excess solution, you can add 5 grams of Anfush per liter of water. The land does not need to be covered with plastic, but if there is any leftover used plastic to replace the roof of a clean shelter, the land can be covered with plastic. Land can be planted after 5 days. This method I do in my garden for celosia cultivation. By giving hydrogen peroxide, better results can be obtained, because in this way the land becomes free of pytopthora and pythium. Please try, good luck.
