ASBINDO Gathering - Melrimba Garden
To strengthen the relationship and support business of members, ASBINDO held gathering for members. Gathering that held on 25 February take place at Melrimba Garden. On this occasion members also get the new idea and inspiration in doing floriculture business.
This event start at 10.00 am. All the participant walk on walking track area, enjoy the natural scene and the plants. Participants also have an opportunity to see plant collection at Melrimba Garden's nursery. On that nursery showed unique, beautiful, and creative plant parcels.
After walking on track area, all participant get new idea, information, and motivation about floriculture business especially ornamental plant and landscape plant. James Lumbanradja, Managing Derector of PT Benar Flora Utama(Benara Nurseries) state that Indonesia's ornamental plants is more tough than other country has, because it can stand on many climate. Based on the experience of Benara Nurseries, the needs of plant is increasing parallel with the awareness about green living and green lifestyle.
Member gathering is closed after participants have lunch with Indonesian unique food and exchange gift among the participants.

Creative Idea in Making Plant Parcel Workshop
To realize one of ASBINDO mission in promoting floriculture industry by using the momentum of global warming issues and green lifestyle, ASBINDO held Workshop titled: Capture Creative Idea in Making Plant Parcel as a Gift which aims to get participants to explore creativity in designing plant as a parcel/gift that can provide added value to plant. Workshop that hosted by T.M. Ineke Turangan, AIFD was held on 9 November 2012 at the Secretariat ASBINDO.
The participants consisted of florists, decorators, manufacturers, and the hotel claims excited and happy attending this workshop. Trainer provides new information on trends in the world series and provides an understanding of the importance of value added to the floriculture product.
Social Media Festival 2012 - ASBINDO and Indonesia Berkebun
ASBINDO (@ ASBINDO) do the collaboration with urban farming communities in Indonesia, Indonesia Berkebun (@ IDberkebun) in Social Media Festival 2012 held from 12-14 October 2012 at the Gelanggang Renang, Senayan - Jakarta. In this activity, ASBINDO has been asked to decorate the Indonesia Berkebun Booth, by structuring the design of Ineke Turangan from Newline Floral Education Centre the theme that chosen theme is “recycle and save the earth”. The material used in this event is unused containers that have been made as globe icon and spiral flora, that means sustainability of the earth, and man (us) as it’s guardian.
