Floriculture Education for School
Directorate General of Processing and Marketing of Agricultural Products, Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with Taman Buah Mekarsari and Indonesian Flower Association (ASBINDO) held an education for students about flowers (plants), fruits, and vegetables as a part of September Horti Ceria 2012 event. The activuty that undertaken during September was trying to introduce the kinds of plants, fruits, and vegetables as well as the benefits and functions. The event aims to increase fruit and vegetable consumption and appreciate the local environment is implemented in 6 (six) schools that consist of elementary, junior high, and high schools around Jakarta.
Commemoration Independent Day’s Decoration at Presidential Palace
ASBINDO has been honored to do the decoration at the Presidential Palace on Indonesian Independent Day’s Commemoration. This time ASBINDO had the opportunity to become a decorator reception room. Commanded by Ineke Turangan, Touch of Sumatra have been decided as the theme of decoration, and ASBINDO try to use local materials that match to the theme.
Urban Greening Forum
Indonesian Flower Association (ASBINDO) as the floriculture organization responsible for the implemented green city as a means of conservation the earth. Therefore ASBINDO in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and the Directorate of Spatial Planning organized the event, titled "Urban Greening Forum" on 6-7 June 2012 held at Function Room Directorate General of Spatial Planning Ministry of Public Works. The event was opened by Minister of Public Works Ir. Djoko Kirmanto, Dipl. HE.

This activity aims to establish a forum that will be able to:
- Provide an understanding of the "Urban Greening" that has various meanings, but focuses on aspects of plants and green areas (green spaces) in the City of Green (Green City)
- Provide stimulus for the stakeholders related to applying the concepts and ideas Green Community, Green Planning and Design and Green Open Spaces.
- Provide space for interaction and networking stakeholders to the collaboration of the Green Cities in Indonesia.
The activity which was attended by 300 participants, divided into several sessions, namely the implementation of the green city in some countries like the Netherlands and Singapore, sharing the experience of several cities implementing P2KH, CSR from several companies, the activities from green community that support green city and also the readiness of of ASBINDO to be partner for providing and consulting regarding P2KH.
