ASBINDO has participated in the national agricultural exhibition, Agribusiness in Expo (Agrinex) held on 30 March to 1 April 2012 at the Jakarta Convention Centre, Jakarta, Indonesia. The exhibition was attended by 400 exhibitors from 178 institutions. Stand ASBINDO laid on Pre Fuction Hall “Bumi Hortikultura” next to the Directorate General of Horticulture, and other horticultural companies. Next to variety information about ASBINDO, membership benefits, and ASBINDO Training Centre, ASBINDO also held Business Matchmaking by providing Matchmaking board.
ASBINDO Nursery Visit that aimed to companies of the members to learn from each other, share information and strengthen relationships has been done on 8 Desember 2011 at PT Saung Mirwan. A nursery produce chrysanthemum and also vegetables is one of nurseries that export chrysanthemum seedlings to Japan. At this time the activity is also interspersed with brief training on the principles of 5S(Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, Rajin) which was adapted from the Japanese philosophy of 5S. ASBINDO participated in the national horticulture exhibition, Pekan Flori dan Flora Nasional (PF2N) held on 19-22 November 2011 in Sunrise Beach, Sanur, Bali. The exhibition was joined by more than 230 participants with as many boots in tents, and generated roughly 15.000 visitors. It was held in conjunction with the Sanur Village Festival. ASBINDO had a booth at a prominent place right in front of the ‘Horti house’ of the Department of Agriculture, which guarantees us a steady flow of visitors. Next to a variety of information brochures about ASBINDO, the benefits of membership, and the ASBINDO Training Centre, ASBINDO also facilitated meetings between floriculture businesses and prospective potential partners though a so called business matchmaking board.
On the first day of the PF2N fair, ASBINDO together with HortiPlus organised the Workshop "Boosting Sustainable Floriculture developement". The workshop included the launch of the ASBINDO business matchmaking board. More information about the board can be found in the section services at www.asbindo.org.
